John Garcia, known professionally as J Rythm is one of Los Angeles’ leading DJ’s amongst the air waves and the club scene. Music is what motivates him and the crowd is what keeps him spinning. He can be heard weekly on one of LA’s top radio stations Latino 96.3 and spinning music around Southern California’s premier hot spots.

J Rythm was born in Los Angeles and raised in the San Fernando Valley during the decade of Master MC’s and DJ superstars. He discovered the love for mixing at the age of 14 when he was introduced to a set of turn-tables, a mixer and vinyl. From that day forward the spark in J Rythm was lit and has yet to be extinguished.

"The very first time I laid my hands on those turntables and that mixer it was a surreal experience I felt like I already knew how to DJ". J Rythm got his first set of turntables at the age of 15 and started his hobby. His hobby turned into hours and hours of mixing house, trance and old school hip-hop
records. During high school J Rythm began DJing at local private parties and knew this is what he wanted to do, keep the crowd dancing and moving with his music and mixes. As time passed the kid that began DJing as a hobby eventually became one of the best DJ’s to come out of the Antelope Valley.

In 2003, after graduating from Palmdale High School, J Rythm moved back to LA. He kept doing private parties and eventually began to record mix tapes. His first break came when a promoter got a hold of his mix tape and asked if he could spin that same night. Without hesitation he went back home to get his vinyl and rushed back to the club. By the end of the night, J Rythm had the crowd moving and has never looked back on that night.

The name J Rythm began to quickly spread throughout the club scene and in no time was mixing at clubs 4 nights out of the week. At this point, he rea-lized that he wanted to take DJing to the next level and pursue it as his ca-reer and main goal in life.

As a world class DJ, on-air personality, and music producer, J Rythm contin-ues to hone his craft and grow as an artist. His love for music has taken him many directions and he welcomes every twist and turns that is presented to him.
